In 1885, Ribot lectured on a series of courses relating to Experimental Psychology at Sorbonne University in Paris, France. This led Ribot to become a professor of the subject in 1888 at the College of France (<em>Theodule Armand Ribot,<\/em> n.d.). Ribot became known as the founder of scientific psychology in France.
